Best Beaches – What constitutes ‘The Best Beach in the World’?
Is there really such a thing as the best beach in the whole world?
Doesn’t it come down to the experience at the time and what we gained from it?
To some, Bondi Beach on Christmas Day will bring memories of the ultimate best beach experience. Personally, my favorite beach is Gibsons Beach down by the 12 Apostles in Victoria where you can walk beneath the cliffs, see 2 of the rock stacks the area is famous for and listen to the surf crashing. Not a safe beach for swimming, but stunning all the same.
Another beach that I have stored as a great memory personally is one in Belize, no idea of the name of the beach and it was not overly pristine. We camped there late one night and woke up the next morning to find ourselves in the middle of a Sunday market. At that moment, it was the best beach in the world and still brings back wonderful memories.
Whitehaven Beach on Whitsunday Island in Queensland, part of the famous road trip up Australia’s East Coast has been announced as number 5 in the world by Trip Advisor. It is simply stunning. No denying that and it would be difficult to imagine anyone coming away disappointed. For thousands of visitors, it certainly might count as one of the best beaches in the world.

Squeaky Beach! My fav beach is in Victoria on Wilson’s Promontory. Squeaky beach is so much fun… run along and squeak as you go!
It happens because of the type of sand ( silica). The squeaking noise is caused by friction of the layers rubbing against each other.. I like the results!
We love Squeaky Beach too, it is not just the kids who get a buzz from running along in the sand squeaking all the way!
